Ohhh, I don’t know where to even begin with this story. It really has it all – gorgeous couple (and sweet, loving, funny, happy..probably all the good things that you can write to describe a beautiful soul you can say about them (also they should seriously consider modelling)), fantastic location, emotional guests, perfect weather.. I mean, until now I’m not quite sure if I have dreamt this or really experienced. This was quite an adventure – I had never visited Mexico and for me to start exploring this vibrant country at Holbox island was a real treat! Before coming I spend at least 5 hours drooling over Hotel Punta Caliza & you will be able to tell how much I loved it there by amount of all kinds of detail images, haha. I mean.. every room has its entrance to the main pool. How cool is that? Of course I had to find the reason to dip into it and as I was blessed with the most fun couple (did I already mention that they look like professional models?!) we were able to capture some happy splashing just before getting ready for the main event. Thank you Larry & Hayden for being awesome!

As I mentioned, there are many things I really enjoyed in this particular day. One of my favourites – the wedding ceremony led by brides mother. Oh, gosh, that was so emotional and so..real! I mean, I come from Latvia which is known for people not showing emotions too much. In my 13 years of experience as a wedding photographer I have captured around 5-10 Latvian brides/grooms tearing up (everybody holds their emotions to themselves here) . There were more emotions shown at this event as in my whole wedding career, lets put it that way. I loved every tear on every face. Thank you so much for that!

I could go on and on about this dreamy day, but I will let you look at those images yourself. There is so much love between both Larry & Hayden and also between their families and friends – I really hope you will experience that warm, happy feeling which hasn’t left me since I started going through their story. Sorry for the amount of images – it is physically impossible to edit even more so you will have to do some tough scrolling down (again – sorry!).

Wedding was organised by Crosby + Jon Design , it was a pleasure to meet you, guys! All the beautiful deco by lovely Maria Limon – I was really excited to work with her as I have seen so many gorgeous images on Instagram featuring her fantastic creations.

P.S. All of this makes me miss Mexico, I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for opportunity to return some day (pretty please?).

Love is Love. Happiness is happiness..and this is a story of The Real Thing. We created this styled shoot with Baiba because we really believe that relationships & love is meant for everyone & I guess we chose the best couple on the planet (ok, in our country) for this cause. You just look at them – I’m sure you can feel the warmth they feel for each other. It is there and it is real..and I feel grateful for being able to witness & capture it.

New year is here and I thought that the best way to celebrate it would be sharing a lovely sunrise wedding story. This was a dream – waking up at 4:00, driving to nature park & walking an hour in darkens to witness this magical moment. Covid has allowed for couples to elope more even if those tiny elopements mean just escaping traditional weddings and I hope this is a thing that will continue even after pandemic is gone. This particular nature loving couple just wanted to spend a fun day with their closest friends and have a beautiful photoshoot somewhere in between saying I DO & clinking those champagne glasses (around 6:00 in morning – a usual time, haha). Scroll down to discover not only their happy faces but also have a look at really, really beautiful Latvian nature!

hy am I posting an autumn themed wedding in spring, you may ask? Well.. it has been almost 2 years with very little amount of new blog posts so I must catch up as I have some time for that right now. Why not to start with a theme close to my heart? I love everything autumn related so there you go – a magnificent day of Andrey & Ksenija. It was full of gorgeous details by Baiba + florals by inblom & I could not imagine better team to work with. The couple thought of all kinds of beautiful details – even the soles of grooms shoes match the overall colour theme! They also were keen to get artistic portraits as if they were meant for magazines – you tell me if we succeeded 🙂

Ithought that it is time to start sharing something not wedding related as well – I have tons of stories that are close to my heart and would deserve to be recognised. I’m talking about lovely moody lifestyle shoots for clients, family shoots and other stuff. Let’s start this by publishing a glemping  idea we did with Baiba Prindule for her book. I would say this is kind of my dream scenario for my family – going into nature and spending time cooking on fire, setting up beautiful table just by using surrounding nature resources.. meeting some snails, running barefooted, listening to bird sounds, taking some leaves as souvenirs home.. we will do this one day, I promise (myself).

Iceland. Wind, rain, snow – all the elements that photographers may fear does seem to disappear somewhere in the background while capturing the beauty of this dream landscape.  This actually was not a real wedding but a two day long pre wedding photoshoot which I helped planning and organising – full of uuuuuhs and ahhhs from my side and shivering from couples side. Enjoy!

had never been to Wales before this wedding so it was double fun as I got there! The wedding itself was a pure bliss – the couple is one of my all time favourites, their amount of amazingness is not explainable in one short caption, lets say that. Also the wedding.. oh, gosh, where to begin! All the partying happened on a property owned by family of the groom – they had to build bridges over small rivers to get here, platform to dine & dance on.. they put such an amazing amount of work in all of it, I was totally amazed! Unfortunately it rained whole day (English summer, haha), but it did not ruin the mood – big boots & raincoats were called to the action and party did not stop for a minute. There were happy tears, there was loads of laughter.. I will stop explaining, just scroll down and explore yourself!
